FAQ: Do I need any experience to attend a class?

No! Every class is taught at every level. Options will be given allowing you to develop and progress, but at your own pace.  It is important to “listen” to your own body and work at the  level you are comfortable with.

Do I have to block book?

No, it is fine to drop-in to any of the classes.  There is the option to Block book for a half term, which reduces the cost of each individual session.

Some people prefer to block book as it encourages them to come along, and they don’t have to remember to bring money each time they attend.   But it is fine just to turn-up, and enjoy the class!

 

How much does a session cost?

Total Body Workout / Fit Blast / HIIT/Circuits  cost £5 per session  (£4.50 if you block book for the half term)

Pilates costs £6 per session (£5 if you block book for the half term)

 

NB: Please come and talk to me if fees are an issue at this time, as I would prefer you keep exercising than stop due to financial reasons.

 

Do I need to bring a mat to class?

No.  Mats are available, though if you have your own mat please feel free to bring it along.

 

Is there anything else I need to bring to a class?

It is a good idea to bring a bottle of water, as it is really important to keep hydrated when exercising.  You may also want to bring a small towel, particualrly for Fit Blast and HIIT/Circuits.

 

What shall I wear to Fitness Pilates?

It is best to wear comfortable clothing with layers that are easily removed or added to allow for changes in body temperature during class.  Leggings/ trousers/jogging bottoms that come below the knee are great.  Avoid wearing short running shorts.

It is best to do Fitness Pilates in bare feet, or non slip socks. One thing that I would recommend is to wear a top that you can keep on until you warm up and that you can put on at the end of a class, especially for relaxation.

 

What shall I wear to Total Body Workout/Fit Blast/Circuits?

Please wear trainers on your feet. It is best to wear comfortable clothing, that you can move in easily.  Ideally layers that are easily removed or added to allow for changes in body temperature during class.

 

 

Do I have to complete any forms before I can start?

Yes.  When you first attend a class you will be asked to complete a confidential health screening form.  This is to allow us to provide the best possible exercises to suit individuals needs. If you could arrive 10mins early to the first session, it will allow you time to complete the form.  Alternatively email caroline@casfitness and I will send you a form which you can complete and bring to the first session.

Please remember to let me know if any of the information you put on the form changes.

PLEASE NOTE: If you suffer from any severe or unusual medical conditions (such as heart disease, high blood pressure, a previous head/neurological injury, a high-risk pregnancy etc), please take responsibility for your body and seek permission from your GP before embarking on any new exercise program.
